2019 festival cancelled

 After consulting with local officials and Emergency Management, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Georgia Apple Blossom Festival. The safety of our vendors and patrons is of the utmost importance as well as the protection of personal property. Given the consistent and worsening weather forecast within the critical 48 hour window we feel this is the best decision for all involved.

There is NO COST for admission.

kid friendly

There are plenty of FREE kid friendly activities sponsored by Piedmont Mountainside Hospital including bounce houses, rock climbing, face painting, and more.

The festival is located on Craig Street in East Ellijay, GA at the Gilmer Chamber & Welcome Center.

Pet friendly

You may bring your pets to this event as long as they are leashed and you clean up after them. Doggie clean up stations are provided.

 The Georgia Apple Blossom Festival is a juried show with over 60 vendors focused on local artists and craftsmen who make original handmade products.

Vendor Information

We ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING VENDORS FOR 2019.

The Georgia Apple Blossom Festival is a juried show with a focus on local artists and craftsmen who make original handmade products. With over 60 vendors and an estimated 3,000 festival goers, we have continuously grown this fabulous event each year.

The cost to be a vendor is $100 for a 10' X 12' space for the weekend.

 After February 8, 2019 this price is $125.00.

You will be required to pay this fee within 30 days of acceptance into the show.


If you have any questions about becoming a vendor you can email or we can be reached Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at (706) 635-7400. We appreciate your interest and look forward to receiving your Georgia Apple Blossom Festival Application for 2019.

13th Annual Run for the Son 5K

The 13th Annual Run for the Son 5k will take place on May 4, 2019 at the Gilmer County Scout Hut. The race route is a scenic tour of Beautiful Downtown Ellijay with a one-mile Fun Run portion for those who do not wish to compete in the 5k, but would still like to participate. All proceeds go to the Gilmer Christian Learning Center--a 501(c)3 nonprofit release time ministry which has been sharing the Gospel with public school students in Gilmer County since the 1980s. This race is a Peachtree road race qualifier with medals awarded for overall winners and by age group. Team running and phantom running is also available.
